Nevada hunters need to file their Big Game Hunt Questionnaires

NDOW Reminds Hunters to File Their Big Game Hunt Questionnaires

The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is reminding big game hunters sooner is better than later when it comes to completing and submitting their Big Game Hunt Questionnaires. The important hunting and harvest data gathered from the questionnaires helps guide game management, including tag quotas, in future hunting seasons.

"Once big game seasons end, hunters’ attention can quickly turn to other pursuits and filing their questionnaire can soon be forgotten, "said John McKay, NDOW outdoor education coordinator. "Completing and submitting the questionnaire quickly, after the hunt can save hunters hassle and money later.

Big game hunt questionnaires must be properly completed and received by the Wildlife Administrative Services Office (WASO) or submitted online at www.huntnevada.com no later than 5 p.m., on January 31, or the next business day if January 31 falls on a weekend or state holiday.

Questionnaires may be submitted online at www.huntnevada.com, by phone, or faxed to (775) 423-0799. Hunters should follow-up with the WASO to make sure their questionnaires have been received.

Hunters who fail to return the big game questionnaire or the information required by the questionnaire within the period specified, or who submits incomplete or false information on the questionnaire will be denied all big game tags for one year.
